Only this afternoon i was cleaning up my computer, deleting photos that i don’t need anymore, or for some reason or the other, no longer mean anything to me, music that i just don’t listen to anymore, for whatever reason. And Whitney’s last album ‘I look to you’ was one of those albums that got deleted. Now maybe had i not done that when i did, this album may have live on for a few more years on my computer; but when i really think of it, i don’t remember listening to this more than once, maybe i did, but i can’t remember one song that was on it, and that to me is sad.
As one of my favorite artist back in the 80s and 90s, it is amazing how messed up her life became. I can’t imagine what it was that drove her to a life of drugs, but to think that her drug use might be what most people remember about her, is really sad.
Makes me think for a minute about what you want people to remember me for, if i have to pass on from this life any time soon.
